Boulder County events take place in the cities of Boulder, Erie, Lafayette, Longmont, Louisville, Lyons, Eldora, Nederland, Niwot, Superior. Boulder is famous for its colorful history, being a choice destination for hippies in the late 1960s. The city of Boulder frequently acquires top rankings in health, well-being, quality of life, education, and art. Home to Colorado University, you may wonder “why would I stop in this college town during my Colorado vacation?” In many ways, Boulder is like most College towns but this one is located in the northern Front Range foothills and in view of the Flatirons. Close by is Eldorado State Park and Golden Gate Canyon Park. Boulder’s thick cultural artistic vibe can be cut with a knife and every night there’s a great show at one of the premier live music venues. Dead & Company play two shows at Folsom Field this summer – June 9-10. It may not be easy getting a hotel room in Boulder but it’s easy to get in and out. Communities like Loveland, Longmont and Louisville are close by. 39 minutes from Denver.
