Summer Crested Butte events include the most spectacular Wild Flower Festival, many free summer concerts, on-mountain bike races, a grand Fourth of July parade and the Crested Butte Chili & Beer Festival in September. Gunnison, just 30 minutes south of Crested Butte, hosts the famous Cattleman’s days. Cattlemen’s days is Colorado’s oldest rodeo.       Crested Butte events in the winter include the nutty Flaushink festival, The Al Johnson Telemark Race, the Extreme Free Skiing Championships and the world championship fat tire bike race. Big name musical artists perform at Crested Butte events Mountain High Music Festival in January and their Crafted Beer Tasting event in March.

      Crested Butte is home to the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame and Crested Butte Ski Resort. Crested Butte is known around the world as home to the oldest mountain bike club in America. The picturesque Downtown also Crested Butte events along a Main Street loaded with bars, restaurants and shops.
