Durango events take place all year at the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. The DSNGR is a world famous attraction that brings thousands of people to Durango every month. Signature Durango events taking place at the historic train include: the Durango Blues Train, The Polar Express Train Ride, The Wine & Rails Train, The Durango Brew Train, The Great Pumpkin Patch Express and more.
Other annual events and festivals in Druango include the Four Corners Motorcycle Rally held every Labor Day weekend, Animas River Days the first weekend of June, Fiesta Days in July, The Durango Autumn Arts Festival in September, the Annual Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering the first of October and Snowdown the last week of January and first week of February.
In the summer, Durango events taking place every day include the Durango Flea Market on Sundays, the Durango Farmers Market on Saturdays, and the True West Rodeo on Wednesdays.
In the winter, Durango events take place around Purgatory Ski resort and include snowshoe tours, Snow Sculptures, torchlight Parades during new Years Eve, Twilight Nights Snowshoe and Fat Bike race.
