Golden events take place in the Denver Foothills. Golden events in the winter include the Ullrgrass Music and Beer Festival that will take place in January at the new Buffalo Rose Event Center. This is a three day festival that features top names in bluegrass music. Ullr, Norse God of winter, inspires festivals goers to dress in their Viking regalia to really bring the event to life. Golden events in the winter also incoude the Cowboy Poetry Gathing (January) and the Olde Golden Christmas that includes a parade down main street.
In the summer, Golden events include free movies and music in the Parfet Park in downtown. In July, Golden events celebrate their heritage with Buffalo Bill Days. This festivals includes live music, a car show, kids activities, golf tournaments, a parade and more. Golden’s great location is also home to bike races throughout the summer and has been part of the Pro Cycle Challenge, the Coors Classic and the movie American Flyers.
In May, the Golden Games take place. This Golden events includes competitions featuring kayaking, SUP, fly fishing and more.
