Everyone knows that Steamboat Springs events take place in this special mountain community throughout the year. Famous for its champagne powder, western cowboy roots and home to 96 Olympic athletes, Steamboat Springs events embrace everything it’s known for. Main Street Steamboat is home to shops, restaurants, breweries, bars, coffee houses, hotels and the Old Town Hot Springs. Steamboat Springs events take place right on Main Street and around the Yampa River that runs through downtown. Howelsen Hill overlooks Stamboat’s Main Street and you can catch future Olympians training on the ski jumping hill. Howelsen hill also hosts free concerts during the summer. Right next door is Romick Arena where pro rodeos are held on Fridays and Saturdays during the summer.
The Mountain Village at the base of Steamboat’s ski area hosts Steamboat Springs events during the ski season and during the summer. In the winter, free concerts take place on the magnificent stage located right next to the Gondola plaza. On the mountain Steamboat Springs events like the Cowboy Downhill Race and ski races of all types take place during the ski season. Steamboat Springs is also home to Strawberry Park Hot Springs, one of Colorado’s most scenic and isolated hot springs.
